Hello and welcome to Worlds Within Words, one of TWO online locations for information from, by and about the writings of T.C. Blue.

The works mentioned here are all-male (aka slash) romances with erotic content which is sometimes quite graphic. If you aren't old enough to be here, please leave.

Most of my current releases are available from Torquere Press and can be found HERE

My Total-E-Bound books can be found HERE!

This is now mostly a forum to vent about writing, real life, and random thoughts.

Run while you still can. *grins*

UPDATE: I now have a blog located HERE (courtesy of the wonderful and multi-talented megleigh) where all my books and such can be found. I expect to at some point publish with more than just the one publisher, so this would be the place to find everything in one spot.

I will of course post here about new releases and such, as well as the aforementioned vents, harangues and other babble. LOL

Update-y update stuff!

Well, RL stuff first.
Collapse )

As for writing stuff, that's a fair bit more interesting, to me at least. LOL Loads of things (or at least 'loads' to me) coming out this year!

Collapse )

As far as other random writing stuff goes, I'm working on a short story that I hope will be done in time to submit for Torquere's charity sip blitz this year. It's slow going because I'm not very good at writing short stuff. *blushes*

Working on a post-apocalyptic (sort of) thing that will likely be submitted to DSP, and an alternate universe fantasy-type thing that will also probably be subbed to DSP first. No clue when I'll finish either of those, though. (they've been sitting on my HD for more than a year, so... *shrugs*)

Figuring out what I'm going to write for the 4th FGC book, as well.

And that pretty much sums up my life for the last few months.

What's up with you guys?

New news and stuff!

Okay, for those who've witnessed my incredibly cursed state with LJ over the last couple weeks, at least THAT much seems to have cleared up. LOL

Mum had a bit of a turn and has been in hospital for a week now, but she's very close to being well enough for them to release her. probably tomorrow, and that's a relief. *grins and tries to hide handkerchief damp with brow-sweat* I was more than a little concerned because her symptoms included LOW blood pressure, which is both odd and highly unusual. It's the first time I ever heard of anyone (other than my Mum) being hospitalized because their blood pressure was low, rather than high. And she was getting dizzy. And fell down again, so hard that she fractured three ribs!

In the midst of all this, I got the news that Dreamspinner Press in intersted in a story I sent them a month or so ago. Torquere is interested in a story I finished the night before last(and as TQ was my very first publisher, I'm thrilled that they still like me... and equally thrilled that Dreamspinner wants me!).

I'm about halfway through on rewrites on a book for my OTHER-other publisher, and now that the previously mentioned two stories are finished, I have time to devote to that.

Make no mistake, I do desperately want to finish the rewrites, but the other two stories are winter-centric, and I can only write 'winter' when it's at least still chilly out. Glad I finished the one for TQ, because it went from 45 degrees that day to 85 today. And it's supposed to be around 50 and rainy tomorrow. *rolls eyes at Nature*

Berry Blue is coming along well. I have a working title, at least, which will probably change, but since I can't write a story without a title and I'm managing to write this one, I think the non-color title might last. Not saying what it is yet because I could be wrong. *grins*

Berry Blue will be the fifth story in my Fruit Basket series, and I've come to realize that many people want to see the story of the twinkies-three. I'm not entirely sure that's going to happen, as I'm less than comfortable with writing threesomes (only did it twice before -- with Mel, Jacks and Parker in Matchmen, LTD, and Ash, Caspari and Victore in Trine. (Too many body parts to keep track of! LOL)

Now, I don't have a paid account, so I can't run a poll in the official sense, but I'm more than willing to consider what you guys have to say. So...

Should the final (sixth) story in the Fruit Basket be about a couple... or the twinkies-three (Pauly, Randy and James)?

I can't swear I'll follow the majority vote, as left in comments, but I'll consider any answers carefully. *grins*

*pauses and frowns, considering*

I guess that's it for now. Love and stuff. :P

Pimpage and a discount and all that stuff. *grins*

So I have a new book coming out today and I'm already playing over at the Torquere Social LJ.

Stop by for contests, random chatter, a prompt call, and a coupon code!

That aside, my Mum is still crazy (even more so than before), I've had good news from one publisher, bad news from another, and NO news from a third. Heh-heh.

Does that mean I'm breaking even? *ponders*

Oh, for those who are interested, here's the cover for the new book:

and the blurb:

Riley has never been the kind of straight guy who sneers at gay men. Hell, most of his best friends are gay, and it only matters when Riley wants to drink a plain old beer at the froufy bars they drag him to. He can look and appreciate, but dudes just don’t do it for him. Or so he thinks, right up until the new downstairs tenant arrives almost literally on Riley’s doorstep.

The raging storm and motorcycle crash with which Kelly makes his entrance pale in comparison with the battle inside Kelly himself once he gets to know Riley. Riley is damnably hot, nice, and exactly Kelly’s type, except for one little thing -- according to all the evidence, Riley’s straight.

Is love truly blind, or does it just wear blinders? Riley and Kelly need to figure it out before the labels and categories drive them irrevocably apart.

It's available right now, here: Mandarin Orange: Sweet & Sour.

Also, there's a single-use per customer coupon code, good for an entire order (not just one book). It will remain active for a full year but can only be used once per person, and only on the Torquere website.

The coupon is for 10% off, and I've been given the impression that it CAN be used in conjunction with other Torquere coupons.

The specific code is: TCBMO

Happy shopping, whenever you do, and for those who expect to have time today, I'm playing here: the Torquere Social LJ.

Laters, all!

I suck (and not in the happy, fun way)!!!

Okay, so I've been MIA for AGES now! I know, right?

Real Life has been horrifyingly bad, including me needing enough dental work that my car-fund is now depleted and I'm likely to be driving my 1995 Corolla for AT LEAST another 10 years (sadly, this is not a joke).

In the many months since I've posted here, the newly re-edited version of Life or Something Scary Like That and it's sequel Life Changes Everything have been released by Torquere Press in both electronic versions and print. I've finished the MS for Mandarin Orange: Sweet & Sour (also for TQ and the third in my colorbox 'Fruit Basket' series).

Mandarin Orange is due to be released on March 23rd, as far as I know. *grins*

I've also finished and submitted the third Farmingdale Gentleman's Club book (waiting to hear what TEB thinks of it) and another story, which I've submitted to a thired publisher. More on that when I hear something from them.

Mum's been in and out of hospital, but she's fine now... while my BFF's Mum has been in a rehab facility after a fairly severe car accident in which BFF's eldest son was driving.

Still working on more stories, of course, and... okay, this is going to sound messed up, but...

A year ago, I joined a gym. It's about two miles from my place. In the year since I joined, I've been there exactly ONCE. I keep MEANING to go... it just never seems to happen.

Meanwhile, my ass has been growing exponentially.

Not sure what that says about me, but there it is.

More later, peeps (aka~ sugar-coated marshy-chicks! :P).

Checking in. :)

Okay, so as I mentioned in my last post, I took Mum to the Jersey Shore for her birthday. We saw Satan and the Grandspawn and had cake.

There was one brief moment during which I thought bail money might be needed. It involved a 70 yr. old woman with big hair and a sparkly walker. She and Mum were like rams, locking horns. If by 'rams' I mean old ladies and 'horns' is the same as walkers, one beribboned (Mum's) and one beadazzled (big-hair Jersey Shore old lady). Fortunately, I was able to distract the younger old lady with a cannoli and something shiny. The I slung Mum over my shoulder and ran off down the boardwalk, cackling at our escape. (This is a lie. There was no battle-of-the-walkers. I'm just amused by the idea. :P)

In any case, the TRUE story is, we did go to the Jersey Shore. We saw 'the other grandparents' (aka~ my sister-in-law's parents) and my three nieces in a place called... I want to say Seaside Heights, but I could be remembering wrong. Somewhere near Point Pleasant, anyway. We stayed a couple days and had a wee birthday party for Mum. And I have to say, my nieces are pretty cool, for teenagers.

Then we went to Long Branch, where Satan lives, to see him, his girlfriend, and my nephew (nephew's Mum is the girlfriend and yes, Satan IS a month's worth of Jerry Springer shows just waiting to happen; why do you ask? :P). We stayed in Long Branch another couple days, during which...

Okay, this is going to sound like another joke, but I swear by any and every deity, it's the truth...

My two and a half year old nephew whacked Mum in the head... with a HAMMER. No joke, no bullshit. One of those rubber-covered mallets they use to pound out dents in cars and stuff. Somehow the kid got hold of it and was messing around and whacked MUM in the HEAD... with a HAMMER!

Once the screaming and crying was finished (that was Mum, btw), I had to go outside to laugh. She wasn't hurt, of course, or it wouldn't be funny, but the fact is... seeing Mum with a sack of frozen veg on her head in lieu of an ice bag was flippin' hilarious. Especially since the bag was literally the size of her head.

Now, I know this sounds horrible, because I'm laughing that Mum got hit in the head with a hammer, but just try to picture it.

One minute she's cooing at the two and a half year old, telling him he's her golden boy... and the next she's shrieking like a banshee. She didn't even have a lump on her head, so it was just high drama at Satan's place.

Me being me, of course I mentioned to Satan's girlfriend later that it was a good thing there hadn't been any real damage done (most of Mum's shrieking was shock and surprise than anything else), because otherwise, the poor child would have to go through life knowing he'd killed Grandma... with a hammer!

And I must be incredibly sick, because that still makes me laugh. *blushes*

So after that, things were calm enough. I brought Mum back home and she's fine. Of course, now she needs some oral surgery and she's decided she hates her dentist beause he told her she needs oral surgery...

Aside from all that, I've been writing and trying to get myself together for Dragon*Con, as well as AAD, both of which are next month. And it looks like I'm also going to be at Yaoi Con, so again... if anyone's going and want to meet for drinks or a meal or something, I'm game. :)

So, how's you all? *hee*

Twice in one week? WTF, right? :P

Just a heads-up, guys. Unconventional is now available from Torquere Press, HERE!

AND... I've got a very simple contest running over on The Torquere Social LJ which will be open until noon tomorrow (Aug. 12th), EST! Prize is a .pdf copy of any of my currently available TQ titles, including the new one!

There's also a prompt-call that's open for words until 6 p.m. today, EST and snippets and such, so stop by if you have time. *grins*

And that's it for the pimpage. I now return you to your regularly scheduled lives! *hee*

I'm a liar, right?

I know. I said I was going to be posting more, way back in May. Well, that obviously didn't happen.

I'm not making excuses. I've been busy and just haven't been able to push myself to interact with people. That's my issue and nobody else's. Hopefully I've resolved at least some of that. :)

RL stuff (for those that have any interest): Same old, same old. My mum is completely nuts and driving me crazy on a near-daily basis. I reserve the right to do the same to a niece or nephew if I manage to live to 90, which is doubtful. LOL

We're headed off (Mum and I) to New Jersey on the 12th to visit Satan & the Grandspawn. This is not a bad 80s cover band. This would be my brother and his kids. :P So we'll be at the Jersey shore for close to a week -- an idea which both frightens and fascinates me. *hee*

Writing stuff: Hard at work on the Mandarin Orange color box, which is due Oct. 1st. I have a feeling it's going to be a long one. Shocking, right? :P Lots of editing and such coming up soon, and we all know how much I love edits, so I'm just going to hang out over here with my head in the sand (beacuse that always works so well. *hee*)

I have two books coming out this month, one on the 11th from Torquere -- 'Unconventional', the third and final book in the conventions series (this is much longer than the two novellas which began the story of Trent and Lucas)-- and a second book on the 16th, this one from Total-E-Bound -- book 2 in the Farmingdale Gentleman's Club series, titled 'A Game of Skills'.

For more info on either of these, the lovely Chris of Stumbling Over Chaos fame has graciously posted contests for these books, said posts containing much, much information. The contest for 'Unconventional' can be found HERE, and the other contest, for 'A Game of Skills', is located HERE!

Please enter either or both of these contests for a chance to win a copy. While you're there, check out all the fun stuff on the site, if you're not already familiar with it! :)

Convention News: As usual, I will be attending Dragon*Con in Atlanta the first week of September. If anyone is planning to be there and would like to meet up for cocktails or whatever, let me know and we'll work someting out. :)

I will also be at Author's After Dark September 17-19 in Seacaucus, NJ, so again... want to hang out, shoot the shit, get drunk and tear up the place? I might be on board for that. *hee*

Not much else going on at the moment, really. Hoping for a productive rest-of-summer.

How's everyone out there in LJ land?

I'm baaaaaaaaaackkk...

I know I've been sort of MIA (only sort of because I HAVE been replying to other peoples' posts and have done TQ LJ stuff), but I'm going to try to be better about posting here.

It's been almost two months since I've posted anything here, and I want to thank everyone who expressed their sympathies for my Dad's passing. It was appreciated more than you know, even though I've not replied to those comments. I couldn't for a long while, mostly because I hate crying and your comments and well-wishes made me tear up. Still do, when I read them.

For those of you who have wondered, I'm okay. Mum is a bit less okay because the defining aspect of her life for the last 4 years before Dad died was her committment to visiting with him every day, feeding him, trying to get responses that were more than 'yes' and 'no'.

And now, some advice.

Collapse )

Okay. Enough of that. Just saying. *quirky grin*

So, the update.

Collapse )
I'm okay and life could be worse. *grins*

I figure that's pretty much the best I can ask for.

Be good to each other, my sugar-coated marshy-chicks!

All good things...

I think we all know how the rest of that saying goes.

My father passed away earlier this evening as a result of the pneumonia.

He will be missed.

I really have nothing else to say right now, except thanks again to those who commented on my earlier posts.

I'll be a bit MIA for the next week or so, but I will be back eventually.

Be good to each other and to those you love.
